After creating the wrap semi material to Ennoia (female personality of the first aeon – Monade), Sophia feels a growing annoyance by contemplate this work. Barbelo is the name of the first to shine in empty where Pleroma wanders, and was made by Sophia with desire of manifesting the image and likeness of the unattainable. Although Barbelo was perfect and a being at Ennoia’s height, the idea that inspired Monade to create the emanations that would form the Pleroma and Sophia, its creation starts the duality and contradiction.
